Gquma Challenger Short Listed for South African Adventurer of the Year Award
Following their success in the Atlantic Rowing Race 2007 Bill Godfrey and Peter Van Kets - 'Gquma Challenger' - have been shortlisted for the South African Adventurer of the Year Award.
This award and the entries will be showcased in OutThere Magazine, Adventure Zone’s 2 TV programs and on the newly established Adventurer of The Year Blog.
The blog has been setup to achieve 3 main objectives:
1) Creating a central portal to showcase the outstanding achievements of South African Adventurers
2) Creating social interaction with ordinary South African citizens in the hope that they too will seek adventure in their everyday lives
3) Exposing the worthy causes that many of these adventures are aimed towards.
